Natural Family Planning

Mission
Statement:
To help educate
Catholic couples about a natural, effective method of family planning which
allows you to choose times to bring new life into the world and also helps you
to postpone pregnancy.
WHAT IS
NATURAL FAMILY PLANNING?
Natural Family Planning (NFP) is a term used to describe certain methods used to
achieve and avoid pregnancies. Contrary to popular belief, the Catholic Church
has never been against family planning. As Catholics, we are called to
responsibility in our parenthood, considering first what God asks of us, what is
good for us as a couple, our family and society in general. The only viable
alternative to artificial birth control, the Church recommends Natural Family
Planning.
WHO CAN USE NFP?
Any married couple can use NFP. NFP education helps couples to fully understand
their combined fertility, thereby helping them to either achieve or avoid a
pregnancy.
WHERE CAN I LEARN HOW TO USE NFP?
Call the Respect Life Department at 941-484-9543, ext. 3045 for details.
