Prayer & Faith

Pope John Paul II has called for "a great prayer for life" and the Bishops of the United States in their latest Pastoral Plan for Pro-Life Activities reminded us that prayer must be "the foundation of all that we do in defense of human life."

PRAYERS

A Prayer for Life

Father and maker of all,
you adorn all creation
with splendor and beauty,
and fashion human lives
in your image and likeness.
Awaken in every heart
reverence for the work of your hands, and renew among your people
a readiness to nurture and sustain your precious

gift of life.

Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.
Amen.

From the USCCB, by Rev. James P. Moroney

Prayer for the Unborn

Jesus, Mary, Joseph,
I love you very much.
I beg you to spare the life
of the unborn child
that I have spiritually adopted,
who is in danger of abortion. Amen.

by Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen

Spiritual Adoption Pledge

"I, ________________

promise to spiritually adopt

an unborn baby in danger of abortion by praying daily for the life of that child."
